Falafels with turmeric

Lightly spiced and full of flavour falafel with a hint of turmeric. Dressed with crispy fresh veg and topped with Only plant based garlic mayo.

Ingredients:

400g chickpeas
50g parsley (fresh parsley)
4 cloves of garlic chopped
2 small red onions finely chopped
1.5 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
3-4 tbsp plain flour Salt / pepper
1 x tsp paprika
1 x tsp turmeric
Veg oil for frying
Flat bread / pita
Leafy salad
Tomato
Sliced Cucumber
Sliced Red onion
Garlic Mayo

Method:

Place all the spices into a food processor with garlic, red onion and chickpeas. Pulse until a bread crumb consistency. transfer mixture into a bowl and cover. Place into a fridge for 1hr 30mins then roll into a ball and press until it forms a small burger shape. Pan fry over med heat for approx 3-4 mins on either side until golden brown. Warm the pita and fill with the salad topped with the falafels. Dont forget a good squeeze of the garlic mayo!
